We offer a range of routes for graduates which will enable you to train in the way that suits you best.
With all four providers we will provide placements at schools within the Suffolk Borders Teaching Alliance, working with your choice of the following teacher training providers:
Primary School Direct
- University of Hertfordshire. With placement schools in the Haverhill area, and weekly centre based training in Hatfield, we can offer tuition fee places and a limited number of salaried places.
- Colchester Teacher Training Consortium. With placement schools in the Sudbury area and surrounding villages, and weekly centre based training in Colchester, we can offfer tiuition fee places.
Secondary School Direct
- Suffolk and Norfolk School Centred Initial Teacher Training. The tuition fee places have placements in all the schools in our Teaching School Alliance, and centre based training in Ipswich. Full details are available here. The salaried trainee centre based training is held at Farlingaye High School in Woodbridge. Full details are available here.
- TESinstitute.There are two School Direct training routes available, School Direct salaried and School Direct non-salaried. Both routes allow you to work in our partnership schools as a member of the school team and learn your skills from experienced professionals. The salaried option is available if you have at least three years’ work experience. Working in placement schools across the SBTA, details for the delivery for the course can be found here
